The My Sister Project “Zero Waste Training”, which aims to increase awareness on preventing waste, using resources more efficiently, reviewing and preventing waste generation, was held at our University.
The program organized within the scope of March 8 International Women’s Day, in partnership with our University’s Continuing Education Center, Women’s Branch and Habitat Association, attracted great interest on its third day.
Habitat Association Project Manager Nazan BÜTÜNER, who participated as a speaker in the training program organized within the scope of My Sister Project held at Prof. Dr. Bahaeddin ÖGEL Conference Hall, stated that women who develop themselves and reveal their potential and energy will be more beneficial first to themselves, their children and families, and then to society.
BÜTÜNER provided information to the participants on topics such as what is zero waste, what are its aims, goals, and gains, what are the types of waste, how can we prevent waste generation, how can we reduce waste, what is recycling and how is it implemented, and what are the collection equipment.
After the training, the participants were given a participation certificate, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. A medal of honor was presented to Habitat Association Project Manager Nazan Bütüner by İlyas SOMUNKIRAN.
