MEDEK and Accreditation Studies Discussed at Fırat University

An information meeting was organized by the Quality Coordination Office at Fırat University Faculty of Engineering regarding the Vocational Schools Accreditation Organization (MEDEK) and accreditation studies.

Fırat University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yılmaz, Quality Coordinator Dr. Lecturer Semih Dikmen, YÖKAK External Evaluator Nisanur Koçoğlu, YÖKAK and İLEDAK External Evaluator Oktay Kafdağlı and the administrative and academic staff of the Vocational Schools attended the meeting.

The importance of MEDEK in accreditation processes, the goals of educational institutions to increase their quality standards and the methods to be followed in this process were discussed at the meeting. While the contributions of accreditation to educational quality were conveyed in detail by YÖKAK external evaluators, the current status and goals of Fırat University in quality processes were also evaluated.

Emphasizing that Fırat University aims to increase quality standards in education at national and international levels, Quality Coordinator Dr. Lecturer Semih Dikmen stated in his statement after the meeting that such informative meetings are important for the effective execution of quality processes.
